Building Your Team

ELHEXA’s endgame revolves around building a battle-ready roster. Here is a practical roadmap to strengthen your team and prepare for what lies ahead.

Build a Core Party

Focus on raising one strong party of six before spreading resources across many adventurers. Your core party should cover the three essential roles:

Tank
Main Tank (MT)
A sturdy Warrior in the front-center position. Equip with Defense skills to absorb hits and protect the team. The MT is the backbone — if your tank falls, the rest usually follows.
Healer
Main Healer (MH)
A Healer in the back-center position. Equip with Restorative and Enhance skills to keep allies alive and buffed. A good healer keeps the party in the fight long enough for your damage dealers to finish the job.
RogueArcherMage
Damage Dealers
Fill the remaining four slots with Rogues (front flanks), Archers (ranged physical), or Mages (ranged magic). Equip them with Battle and Magic damage skills. Raw damage output determines how fast you clear — especially important in timed multi-wave battles.

Level Up Your Party

Push your core six adventurers to the highest level possible. Higher levels mean better stats across the board — more HP for your tank, stronger heals, and harder-hitting attacks. Level is the single biggest factor in battle strength.

Learn and Upgrade Skills

Study
Visit the Study function at institutions to learn new skills and level up existing ones. Higher-level skills deal more damage, heal more, and provide stronger buffs. Prioritize skills that match each adventurer’s role.

For your tank, focus on Defense skills. For your healer, invest in Restorative and Enhance skills. For damage dealers, maximize Battle and Magic skills. See Card Skills for the full skill reference.

Prepare Backup Cards

Not every fight is the same. Some battles hit harder and overwhelm your tank. Others require more healing than one Healer can provide. Others are DPS races where you need maximum damage output.

Keep a handful of backup adventurers trained and ready:

  • An extra tank or off-tank if your MT keeps falling.
  • A second healer for battles where damage is relentless.
  • Additional damage dealers of different classes to swap in when you need more firepower.

The Party Setting feature lets you save up to 3 formations, making it easy to switch between different team compositions.

Look Ahead

Once you have a strong, well-skilled party clearing high-level battles consistently, you are ready for future events and endgame content. A solid foundation — high levels, upgraded skills, and a flexible roster — is the best preparation for whatever comes next.
