How Battles Work

Once a battle quest is deployed, combat is fully automatic. Your adventurers act on their own using their equipped skills. Your job is to build the right team beforehand — the rest plays out in real time.

On the Battlefield

Depending on your adventurers and the enemies you face, battles can range from easy sweeps to intense close fights with flashy skill effects filling the screen.

Battle Outcomes

Each battle has a 99-second time limit. Four outcomes are possible:

  • Victory — all enemies are defeated. You receive rewards.
  • Defeat — all your adventurers fall. No rewards.
  • Time Up — the timer reaches zero with both sides still standing. Counted as a loss.
  • Draw — in rare cases both sides are eliminated simultaneously. No rewards.

Defeat

Only a victory earns rewards. If you lose, you can retry for free with the same team — no energy is consumed on a loss. The battle involves some RNG, so retrying may yield a different result. If the fight is simply too difficult, you can abort and come back with a stronger team.

Party Formation

Your party has 6 positions arranged in two rows:

  • Front Row — Left Front (LF), Main Tank (MT), Right Front (RF). Front-liners receive more enemy attention and are targeted more often.
  • Back Row — Left Attacker (LA), Main Healer (MH), Right Attacker (RA). Back-liners have positioning advantages for certain skills.

Where you place each adventurer matters — tanks belong in front to absorb hits, while healers and ranged attackers are safer in the back.

Invalid slot

A battle party cannot contain two of the same adventurer. Duplicate slots are marked with this icon and Deploy is disabled until resolved. Auto-select skips duplicates.

Key Roles

A well-balanced party relies on these core roles:

Tank
TankMT
Place a durable adventurer (usually a Warrior) in the Main Tank position. Tanks absorb enemy attacks and protect the back line.
Healer
HealerMH
A Healer in the Main Healer position keeps your team alive with restorative skills. Without healing, even tanky teams will eventually fall.
Melee DPS
Melee DPSLF / RF
Rogues (and sometimes Warriors) in the front flanks. They fight alongside the tank and deal sustained close-range damage.
Ranged Physical DPS
Ranged Physical DPSLA / RA
Archers in the back row. Some Archer skills can target the enemy back line directly, bypassing their front-liners.
Ranged Magic DPS
Ranged Magic DPSLA / RA
Mages in the back row. Magic skills tend to be AOE-heavy, dealing damage across multiple enemies at once.

Waves

Some battles consist of multiple waves. After clearing all enemies in a wave, a short pause occurs before the next wave of enemies appears. Your surviving adventurers carry over to the next wave with their current HP, and the battle timer receives a +10 second bonus per wave cleared. The battle is won only after the final wave is defeated.

Elites and Bosses

Normal battles pit your 6 adventurers against 6 enemies. Tougher encounters replace the normal formation with stronger foes:

  • Elite — 2 powerful enemies that appear instead of the normal six. Fewer targets, but each one hits harder and has more HP.
  • Boss — a single powerful enemy at the center. Bosses have high HP, unique skills, and hit much harder than normal enemies.

Enemy Clans and Traits

Enemies belong to different clans and may possess special enemy traits that alter their behavior in battle. This system is still evolving — expect more variety and deeper tactical considerations in future updates.

Battle Rewards

Every battle victory grants a set of rewards:

Isekai Power
Isekai Power — the primary progression currency, tracked on the rankings.
EXP
EXP — all deployed adventurers gain experience toward their next level.
Gold
Gold — battles are a strong source of Gold Coins.
Battle Medal
Battle Medals 1 medal per battle at lower levels, 2 medals from Lv100+ battles. Used to purchase adventurers in the Supply shop. More details: Battle Medals →
Summon Ticket
Summon Tickets — a rare chance to receive a ticket on each victory.

It’s All About Skills

Battle outcomes are determined by your adventurers’ skills. Every action in combat — attacking, healing, buffing, debuffing, countering — comes from skills. Building the right skill set for each adventurer is the key to victory.

There are 7 skill types used in battle:
