ELHEXA CodexEnergy
Energy is a resource that fuels certain activities in ELHEXA. Only battle quests require energy to start — typically costing around 100 energy per run. Energy is also spent when tapping adventurer portraits for EXP and when speeding up quests at institutions.
Displayed in the main HUD. When energy drops below 5%, the display turns red to warn you.
Consumption
Energy is consumed by three activities:
- Battle Quests — Each battle quest costs a fixed amount of energy (typically 100). Normal production quests do not require energy.
- EXP Tapping — Tap an adventurer’s portrait on the home screen or card detail to convert energy into EXP. The energy spent per tap scales with your Energy Rank.
- Quest Speed-Up — Tap on an active quest at an institution to speed up its completion. Each tap consumes energy based on your Energy Rank.
Energy Rank
Your Energy Rank determines three key values:

| Max Energy | The maximum energy you can hold. Starts at 600, increasing by 200 per rank up to 3,400 at Rank 15. |
| Regen Rate | How fast energy regenerates over time. Higher rank means faster recovery. |
| Per-Tap Cost | The amount of energy consumed per EXP tap or quest speed-up tap. Scales with rank. |
Energy Rank can be upgraded in the Shop for 100 Elhexa Crystals per rank, up to a maximum of Rank 15. Each upgrade also instantly refills your energy to the new maximum.
Recharging Energy
Energy regenerates passively over time, even while you’re offline. The recharge rate is affected by your Energy Rank — higher rank means faster recovery. When you return, your energy will have recovered up to your current maximum.
Energy Refill
When you need energy now and don’t want to wait for regen, you can top up instantly from the Refill panel. Each tap fully restores your energy to the current maximum.
Refills come in two tiers. Free refills reset daily — use them first. Once your free refills for the day are spent, the panel switches to paid refills, which cost Elhexa Crystals each. Paid refills also reset daily, giving you a hard ceiling on how much energy you can buy per day.

The panel only shows one tier at a time — free while you still have free refills, paid after they’re spent. You can’t skip straight to paid while free refills are still available. Both counters reset at daily rollover.
Energy Rank Details
The table below shows how each Energy Rank affects your capacity, regeneration speed, and effective daily output. Daily energy assumes you start full, use all 3 free refills, and spend energy continuously throughout the day.

Daily Energy = 4 × Max Energy (start + 3 refills) + 24h of natural regen. Rank 15 provides over 2.5× the daily energy of Rank 1.

Tips
Battle quests are the only quest type that requires energy and give the best rewards. Spend your energy here first.
Normal production quests don’t consume energy at all. Keep your adventurers busy even when your energy bar is empty.
One of the most impactful progression milestones — it directly lets you do more each day. Rank 15 provides over 2.5× the daily energy of Rank 1.
