Adventurer Customization
Once you’ve built up a stable of adventurers, you can reshape them with two Hex-themed consumables sold in the shop:
- Merge Cards — combine two cards of the same class and rarity. Pick which side donates each of three axes (BASE, SKILLS, TALENT) and the result lives on the kept card. The other card’s losing-side investment is refunded as skill shards and experience books.
- Change Aspect — transfer a card’s portrait, race, and gender onto another card of the same class. The donor is consumed and its skills + experience are refunded.
Both operations are permanent and apply atomically: the donor card is destroyed, the kept card is updated.
How to access
The two consumables live in the Special tab of the shop:

A discounted Hex Pack bundles one of each, available once per account — the easiest way to try both flows.
After purchase, head to your Items tab. Under Special, tap the Hex icon to bring up its tooltip, then tap Use Item:

Rules: Merge Cards
Merge takes a main (the card you keep) and a material (the card consumed). The merged result is the main card with attributes drawn from your axis choices.

Steps
- Tap the left slot to pick the main card (the one you’ll keep).
- Tap the right slot to pick a material card. The picker shows only cards that satisfy the eligibility rules below.
- For each of the three axes — BASE (portrait + race + gender + element), SKILLS (the skill set), and TALENT (the nine inborn stats) — choose which side contributes. At least one axis must differ between the two sides; if all three pick the same side, the operation would be a no-op and is rejected.
- Tap Merge and confirm. The material card is destroyed, the main card updates, and skill shards + experience books from the losing side’s contributions are credited to your inventory.
Limits
- Both cards must share the same class and the same rarity.
- Both cards must be free — not deployed on a quest, not crafting, not listed on the market, not locked, and not an NFT.
- Signature characters (Outlanders and campaign-event adventurers) can only merge with another card of the same portrait identity. You can’t bring a different Outlander’s portrait onto your existing one.
- If a final EXP differs between the two sides, the merged card keeps the higher value; the lower side’s EXP is refunded as books. Activity counts also take the maximum.
Rules: Change Aspect
Change Aspect is the lighter sibling. Only the portrait identity moves — everything else stays on the main card. Useful when you love a card’s build but want a different look (different race, different gender, different art).

Steps
- Tap the left slot to pick your main card (the one whose identity you want to change).
- Tap the right slot to pick a material card. Its portrait appears without a frame — a reminder that only the look will travel across.
- Tap Change and confirm. The main card’s portrait, race, and gender become the material’s; the material is destroyed and its skills + EXP are refunded.
Limits
- Both cards must share the same class. Rarity does not need to match — you can use a 1★ donor for a 5★ card if you like the portrait.
- Both cards must be free (same status rules as Merge).
- Signature characters (Outlanders and campaign-event adventurers) are blocked on both sides — you can’t aspect-change a signature card and you can’t donate a signature portrait onto a normal card.
- If the two cards already share the same portrait, the operation is a no-op and rejected (nothing would actually change).
- The main card’s skills, talent, level, EXP, element, and class all stay exactly as they were.
Once you confirm a Merge or a Change Aspect, the material card is destroyed, the consumable item is spent, and the change is not reversible. Outside of a verified bug, there is no refund or revert path — not the card, not the item. The confirm dialog is the last guardrail; please read it before tapping.
